Loco Route

47830 York - (via ECML) - Peterborough (2) - March - Cambridge - Liverpool Street
86232 Liverpool Street - Colchester - Ipswich

Notes :
(1) Regarding the outward journey Steve Pizzey comments: The train was diverted onto the slows at Stevenage which was a blessing as a freightliner had just brought the wires down near St Neots. This only slightly delayed us, as we sailed past everything stuck on the down fast, but we were back on time by the loco change at Peterborough. Of note was that there was no provision made to get the 86 back to GE metals and, as far as I know, it sat in platform 1 at Peterborough ‘till the following Monday! (I stand to be corrected).
(2) Train was diverted on return leg due to engineering works on the ECML.
