(4) The delay at the start of the tour was due to electrical connection issue between loco & generator car. During the fault finding process 68023 was replaced by 68033, (the loco for the main 'Three Peaks by Rail Challenge'), which seemed to fix the problem & the tour could get under way.
(5) Passengers from Liverpool conveyed by taxi to Hooton from Runcorn. By running direct to Hooton, the rest of the tour could be completed without jeopardising the subsequent high profile event train.
