Notes : 
(1) Off tour options: visit to Beamish Open Air Museum or Durham City.
(2) Doug Lindsay comments: Eight coaches met the train at Durham for transfer to Beamish with some 400 passengers and staff. There was a Durham only option but only 16 passengers took that option. The tour ran well almost to time all way to Durham.  Returned right time most of way back. However we should have gone over to the Up Slow Line at Sandy, but the following train was late so we were left out on the Up Fast Line all way to Kings Cross and arrived 20 minutes early! A good trip with lots happening at Beamish with a 1940s weekend on their farm plus many WW2 vehicles etc. Trams running were: Blackpool No.31, Blackpool & Fleetwood No.40, Newcastle No.114 and Sheffield No.264, the Standard Gauge Railway was being operated by Peckett Works No.2000 of 1942.
